Sporozoans are characterized by having an infectious spore-like stage in their life cycle. Unlike amoeboid protozoans, they lack specialized locomotory organelles like pseudopodia (false feet), cilia, or flagella in their adult stage; instead, many move by gliding. The feature of moving and capturing prey with false feet (pseudopodia) is actually a defining characteristic of Amoeboid protozoans.
